Synchrony’s Product organization works to launch and distribute new and competitive products & capabilities. As the Technology Portfolio Leader for B2C Products, you’ll oversee the technology powering consumer facing financial products including Pay Later, Secured Installments, Select Pay, Complementary Products, and Product Continuum.

This leader will manage a team of talented Technology Product Owners leading financial product technology programs and be the face of technology for the B2C portfolio of products. The role will require strong relationship building and will be responsible for facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders. The leader will share in accountability for the success of the B2C portfolio of products, including the wing-to-wing program delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of talented technology product owners and provide vision, leadership, and strategy to drive technology programs in the B2C portfolio
  • Partner with key stakeholders (including Product Management, Architecture & Engineering, client functional leaders, and other stakeholders) to implement credit products and features and provide ongoing communication through project execution
  • Identify new opportunities to drive growth and partners with cross-functional partners to garner support and drive delivery
  • Influence technology strategy to balance delivery goals, enterprise scalability, and factor competitive intelligence for financial products, integration, and distribution capabilities and process
  • Accountable for wing-to-wing delivery of portfolio initiatives, including budgets, requirements, multi-system development, testing, deployment, and production validation
  • Communicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Agile Team (program peers, key stakeholders, executives, and clients)
  • Engage with clients and partners to commercialize/distribute products at scale
  • Leverage Scaled Agile ceremonies to facilitate organization and collaboration across teams/trains in the portfolio
  • Keep Agile Delivery Teams/Trains focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting and actively identify and remove waste and distractions
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree and 10+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 12+ years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience driving a rigorous program across large financial services or technology businesses
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience

  • Passion for Agile and experience helping teams become more Agile; experience working in SAFe / scaled Agile a plus
  • Previous experience with both front-end and back-end applications; experience with Fiserv/First Data Credit Issuing Systems a plus
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian products

Grade/Level: 14

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
