Role Summary
As part of a cross-functional team the UX Designer is responsible for creating industry-leading and brand-aligned experiences for our intermediary (B2B) audiences. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, product owners, developers, content strategists, and other creative specialists committed to designing the optimal end-to-end experience for our clients and prospects. In this role you’ll have a voice in prioritization, planning, and tradeoff decisions along the way to execution. You will work across a range of design processes including discovery, research, design prototyping, wireframing, visual design, UX testing, and finalizing UI for execution.
Responsibilities
- Apply human-centered design principles to develop compelling and innovative concepts that solve visual and interaction design problems
- Collaborate with senior designers, content strategists, partners and stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and technology requirements to produce effective and engaging user experiences
- Work with senior designers on experience artifacts such as personas, user/task flows, user experience maps, user stories, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes
- Work with senior designers to conduct user research and develop recommendations based on research results and analytics.
- Participate in team discovery and ideation sessions
- Maintain current knowledge of digital trends and design best practices
- Contribute to, advocate for, and stress test the firmwide design system
- Deliver design solutions which adhere to accessibility standards and brand guidelines
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and 2 years of total relevant work experience
- 2+ years of experience working with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Miro.
- Strong portfolio of design projects, both UX and UI
Preferred:
- Experience working with an established design system
- Experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners
- Experience conducting UX research and user testing
- Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
- Experience working within an agile development process and workflow
- Familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (web, PDF) is a plus

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$75,500.00 - $129,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$83,000.00 - $142,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$94,500.00 - $161,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
