The Basics:
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our analyst relations program. As part of Tanium’s Corporate Communications team, the Analyst Relations Manager will support industry analyst and peer reviews programs working closely with other members of the corporate communications team and cross-functional groups to advance Tanium’s position as a leader in autonomous endpoint management and adjacent market categories.
Tanium is looking for an AR Manager with an understanding of how analyst relations programs are used to support integrated communications and marketing programs. Responsibilities will include executing push and pull engagement with key analysts that result in Tanium’s positive market positioning, including effective communication of product direction, customer success and competitive positioning. The AR Manager will also assist in managing peer reviews programs working with customer marketing teams to facilitate the collection of credible reviews from verified customers and leveraging the platform to inform technology buying decisions across core Tanium product and market categories.
An ideal candidate will have experience supporting the analyst relations function at a cybersecurity and/or enterprise software company. You have experience executing successful AR programs and working extensively with internal stakeholders and colleagues across PMM, PM, and Comms. The position reports to the Vice President, Communications.
This individual excels at the fundamentals: supporting successful relationships with leading industry analyst firms, and a proven track record of supporting analyst relationships across the planning and execution of briefings, analyst tours and strategy days to growing coverage and favorable product evaluations.
This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance several days each week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain proactive relationships with analysts and other influencers
- Support a successful peer reviews program, liaising with customers marketing and sales functions
- Identify Voice of Customer opportunities via GPI reviews
- Manage analyst attendee experience at Tanium Converge events
- Coordinate briefings and tours
- Support company presence at industry/analyst conferences
- Monitor, analyze and distribute analyst reports
- Assist with internal requests for analyst research and information
- Project manage multiple, simultaneous, short- and long-duration projects
- Maintain various internal calendars and tracking documents
- Coordinate employee access to reports, develop briefing materials, and respond to incoming analyst requests
- Maintain relationships with analysts by writing / submitting content for analyst reports with assistance from product marketing and senior management, and by participating in events such as analyst & strategy days
- Support ongoing engagement with Tier 2 & 3 analyst relationships and interactions
- Work with AR agency in ongoing support of ongoing program management and reporting
We’re looking for someone with:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience
- 5-7+ years of analyst relations management or other relevant experience
- Experience in analyst relations programs with software enterprise (particularly cybersecurity) preferred
- Experience working directly with product management and product marketing functions
- Knowledge of trends in communications and analyst relations
- Experience running and executing high profile analyst relations programs, with a track record of success and positive feedback from analysts

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate key messages clearly and explain technical concepts using a range of communications vehicles

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $240,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
