The Role: As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a small, tight-knit team of cutting-edge coding thought leaders who set the strategy for our customer interface in an engaging way. Self-starters are encouraged to explore, fail fast, and build new things, and will be given opportunities to develop and grow within the company.

What you will do:

Drive development efforts for projects that impact the evolution of our business.
Be a senior influencer of a cross-functional team that experiments, iterates, and delivers on new product objectives.
Mentor and lead best practices in the development of user experiences.
Showcase your fluency in Node.js, which is at the forefront of what we use to build our customer-facing applications.
Leverage relationships and influence Product and engineering team members on a modern technology stack grounded in Node.js and React.
Be a lead contributor to optimize our products for cross-device performance, including mobile and desktop.

Qualifications:

5+ years of JavaScript experience and experience working on consumer-facing web projects.
Fluency in one or more client-side JavaScript frameworks or libraries (React, Angular, WebPack).
Proven expertise with Node.js, Web Assembly, and libraries like Express.js.
Confident ability and experience to develop and consume APIs.
Proficiency with functional programming.
