The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join our team in Mexico. The successful candidate will focus on backend development, building and maintaining scalable web applications using Flask. You will work with technologies such as Alchemy, PostgreSQL, and Elasticache to deliver reliable and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python and backend development and a good understanding of database systems and caching solutions.

What you will do:

Design and develop backend systems using Python and Flask.
Build and maintain web applications with a focus on scalability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop backend solutions.
Work with database technologies such as PostgreSQL and caching systems like Elasticache.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
Ensure software design patterns and best practices are followed.
Contribute to the improvement of development processes and code quality.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience with Python backend development
Strong proficiency with Flask.
Experience working with PostgreSQL and Elasticache.
Familiarity with ORM tools such as Alchemy.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems.
Strong understanding of software design patterns and a proven track record of building maintainable software.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have Skills:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant years of work experience
