Job Description

  

Responsible for the quality assurance of environmental recordkeeping and reporting tasks for multiple customer facilities. Researches and stays well-informed on applicable air pollution environmental regulations and practices. Prepares and submits reports to regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Prepares and submits reports to customers to guide in site specific monitoring, planning, and quality procedures in line with federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Works, mostly by remote access, with customers to gather and analyze environmental data and records for completeness and accuracy in technical and procedural practices. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is mandatory for success.
  • Assists others in designing, verifying air emissions calculations and support for compliance, recordkeeping and reporting required for federal and state programs. Such as state emissions inventory programs, greenhouse gas reporting (40 CFR 60 Part 98), clean air reporting under 40 CFR 60 Parts 60, 63, and 75, NSPS Subparts, etc.
  • Comfortable documenting, maintaining, and performing air emissions calculations and procedures using documents, spreadsheets and diagramming type software programs.  This includes creating/modifying permit summaries, monitoring plans, QAQC plans, certification protocols, and certification reports.
  • Provides support for customer reporting to EPA databases (ECMPS, CAMD etc.).
  • Interprets environmental regulations and guidance and applies that knowledge to environmental recordkeeping and reporting efforts.
  • Provide internal and external training on environmental compliance issues.
  • Work with the internal Software Call Center as needed.

Qualifications

  • To perform the job successfully, this individual must be able to perform or learn to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrate, by experience, knowledge of the air pollution monitoring business along with a history of successfully working on environmental compliance issues.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University.
  • At least three years of related experience.  Experience with air emissions calculations preferred.
  • Current valid driver’s license required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Job will require report writing and public speaking engagements.
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prepare reports, exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information, and the ability to keep records, analyze and summarize raw data, in order to fill out and submit summary and regulatory reports.
  • Ability to work well with all plant personnel, internal personnel, and senior managers.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Will occasionally stand/walk/talk/hear/carry or lift 10-25 lbs. occasionally and will continuously sit/use hands to handle or feel reaching with hands and arms.
  • Will occasionally be required to determine distance with vision, and will continuously be required to determine depth perception and be able to adjust vision focus
  • Will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, will be exposed to vibration, lo-level radiation, fumes or airborne particles (safely below occupational exposure levels); Noise level is moderate to very loud.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/diagram form instructions and be able to deal with problems with concrete variables in standardized situations

  

Salary Range:

$59,400.00-$79,310.000
