We are looking for a highly motivated and capable senior bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience and interest in developing cutting edge assays and algorithms in the oncology (MRD) space.

Responsibilities:

Develop assays, algorithms, machine learning and statistical models to detect oncology related biomarkers from cell free next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
Design and conduct analyses applying deep genomic and epigenomic knowledge to derive key insights from large multi-modal datasets
Design and execute experiments to characterize performance and support various regulatory submissions.
Produce high quality and detailed documentation for all projects.
Communicate results with outside scientific teams as well as product and bioinformatics leadership.
Lead, mentor and/or train other scientists and engineers

Qualifications:

Must have completed a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science
At least 5 years of postdoc or industry experience
Computational skills using Python and/or R
Proven experience in developing NGS pipelines using contemporary tools for processing and analyzing NGS data (including epigenetics, DNA, RNA) within a clinical environment.
In-depth knowledge of creating statistical models and developing predictive or prognostic algorithms
Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
Self-driven and works well in interdisciplinary teams

New York Pay Range

$140,000—$180,000 USD
