Job Description Summary:
The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Media Specialist to join our IMX Global Media Team. As Coca-Cola transforms its media approach, we are moving towards a data-driven, audience-first strategy, enhancing marketing effectiveness and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence how Coca-Cola interacts with consumers in the retail space.
The Retail Media specialist will be responsible for leading and executing retail media audience strategy and the orchestration of Joint Business Partnerships both globally and locally in conjunction with the Global Partnerships team. This role aims to provide services to stakeholders across the business, developing a distinctive retail media capability that drives recruitment by connecting precision planning audiences and evaluating their success across the digital ecosystem.
The right candidate will be strategic and analytical and adept at working in a fast-paced environment and will be data-focused, with strong decision making and leadership skills.
This role will play a crucial part in driving digital marketing and media transformation across the marketing value chain for the company.
Position Details:
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Hybrid work schedule - 3 days per week in person and 2 days virtual
Individual contributor role - no direct reports
Experience:
- A deep understanding of the retail media landscape, ideally Globally with a double click into N. America and the marketing technology required to operate at scale along with the media data and measurement approach needed to succeed.
- Must have the ability to connect commercial implications of the decisions they will be making as it reaches deep into our customer and bottler teams economic models.
- Experience working directly with media platforms and agencies, strong understanding of performance marketing and campaign optimizations for multiple customer segments.
- Experience working with Retail Media technology platforms, including ad tech, marketing systems and data clean rooms.
- Adept at assessing, facilitating partnerships to build custom, large scale, end to end solutions. Experience in the set-up, negotiations and measuring the value.
- Experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive retail media strategy that aligns with the companys objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with overall marketing initiatives.
- Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners, both online and offline and negotiate partnerships that enhance our brand visibility and consumer engagement.
- Fantastic networker who can get broad alignment across multiple stakeholders, as Retail Media is one of the newer areas which touches many parts of the business.
- Comfortable articulating learnings across markets that feed into actionable enhancements to drive future Audience planning and targeting.
The Role will require frequent communication with Global Category Leads, Global IMX Leads and other Global Marketing sub-functions (OUs/Customer & Commercial, etc)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of marketing experience, focusing on retail media and digital advertising.
- Detail knowledge of Retail Media Networks, Amazon, Walmart, Criteo etc and experience working with Commerce Platforms, The Trade Desk, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest etc.
- Proven success in developing and executing retail media strategies that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, programmatic advertising, and emerging retail technologies.
- Data-driven mindset with excellent analytics and strategic decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Prior experience in the beverage, consumer goods, food service aggregator or retail industry is a plus.
