Meet the Team
The Software Integration - Software Images (SWIM) Team creates novel solutions to deploy Application and Operating System Images onto autonomous trucks. We also perform sensor data recording for later use in Virtual Driver validation and improvement. Our tools enable engineers and test operators to deploy, debug, and optimize the latest autonomous software on Torc vehicles.
What You’ll Do

Contribute to data recording solutions for sensor and system performance evaluation.

Develop image deployment solutions that manage operating system and application updates on Torc vehicles.

Work closely with test engineers and system operators to ensure seamless deployment processes.

Write and maintain software in C++ and Python for software image handling and data management.

Develop solutions for distributed system recording and data pipeline optimization.

Collaborate cross-functionally with system engineers, networking teams, and autonomy developers to improve software deployment efficiency.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience (or a Master’s Degree with 1+ years of experience).

Experience with C++ and Linux operating system fundamentals.

Strong background in image provisioning, remote software deployment, or distributed computing.

Familiarity with Git version control and containerized software environments.

Understanding of network protocols and data transfer optimization techniques.
Bonus Points!

Experience with embedded Linux development and Yocto.

Hands-on experience with automotive networking (CAN, Ethernet, PCIe).

Familiarity with distributed data storage and retrieval methods.

Previous experience in robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicle software integration.
