What is the role about? 

• Design and build scalable, efficient data models to support analytics and decision-making
• Optimize data warehouse performance, costs, and reliability
• Create and maintain high-quality data pipelines and tables for dashboards and reporting
• Define and improve data modeling standards and documentation practices
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure consistent and accurate data
• Lead initiatives on data quality, model optimization, and infrastructure upgrades
• Support data teams on key projects and mentor junior team members
• The Tools We Use:
  • Warehousing and ELT: Snowflake, dbt, SQL
  • Visualisation: Looker (LookML)
  • Data Sources and Importing Tools: Salesforce, Internal Applications, Event Data, Fivetran and Airbyte
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: SQL, R, Python

 

What will you need to be successful?

• Senior experience in data modeling for analytical purposes, ideally in fast-paced B2C environments
• 2+ years hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, macros, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (Kimball, Inmon) and Entity-Relationship-Modeling
• Expert knowledge in ETL/ELT design, testing, and monitoring in cloud-based environments
• Solid experience with Python (pandas, numpy) is a plus
