The Solutions Engineers (SEs) at B2W are cross functional product experts who have a critical role to play in helping to develop and close business.   SEs assist Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) as well as any Trimble Sales within the unified sales structure, in understanding prospective client’s product needs, and then demonstrating the software to best meet those needs.  They are required to be able to both understand complex requirements and find creative ways to stretch B2W Software product capabilities to the limit to meet those requirements, while simultaneously making the explanation succinct and consumable for a wide array of technical abilities within our client base.  SEs are also pillars of ethics, ensuring that the capabilities we represent will in good faith meet client’s needs and bring value to their business.  Solutions Engineers do not sell, what they would not train or implement themselves.  SEs use their experience and credibility to build trust in the sales relationship.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain deep conceptual and functional knowledge of all B2W products, as well as Trimble Business Center, and Trimble Connect

  • Develop and maintain conceptual and functional knowledge of integration capabilities between all B2W products, and third party products focusing on Trimble products

  • Basic awareness of ancillary Trimble products such Vista, Spectrum and ProContractor

  • Assist in conducting discovery calls and high-level software demonstrations to gather necessary pre-demo data and samples from customers and prospective customers

  • Conduct deep dive software demonstrations with Trimble Sales staff

  • Record detailed notes from all pre-demo and deep dive demonstration in Salesforce – including all appropriate samples, documents and activities

  • Attend regular sales meetings

  • Assist in the training and development of B2W Software sales personnel, and other Trimble companies

  • Maintain positive interaction with other B2W Software departments and Trimble companies

  • Remain aware of B2W product delivery timelines

  • Communicates customer/market feedback for future product developments

  • Effectively manage prospective customer and existing customer expectations

  • Attend industry trade shows, the annual User Conference and travel in accordance with achieving required Bookings figures

  • Assist in account management issues and solutions as deemed necessary to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Continuously augments SE documentation, demo scripts, FAQs

  • Participates in RFPs

  • Assist Marketing efforts as needed (campaigns, webinars, training videos, etc.)

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Minimum of any of the following:

    • 1 year experience in a Training or Implementation role within B2W Software

    • 2 years of experience using B2W software products in a client company

    • 2 years of experience using similar Trimble products with overlapping workflows

    • 2 years of experience in construction (preferably heavy civil).

  • Strong presentation skills for both in person and online demonstrations

  • Basic understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server

  • Experience with Salesforce or related CRM

  • Functional creativity – Can you solve a problem in a short period of time and make it happen on screen?
