About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Operations Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of legal operations organizational and technology initiatives. This role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, streamlining processes, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the Legal team. This position requires a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead change initiatives, and develop innovative legal technology solutions. This individual will report to the Director of Legal Operations and lead a team of 2-3 skilled analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Technology and AI Management: Manage selection, implementation, configuration, system API integrations, and maintenance of our global department technology portfolio, including matter management, self-service tools, contract tools, risk & compliance tools, etc. Lead the development of a cohesive AI strategy for our department including but not limited to establishing AI governance for utilization of AI within legal; data warehouse management; and building/designing/testing AI controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Legal Data Strategy: Work with cross-functional teams to implement scalable analytical solutions, develop robust analytics frameworks, and ensure best practices in data collection, storage, governance, analysis, and reporting. Serve as the primary contact for complex data requests, prioritizing and delegating tasks to meet the needs of senior leadership and operational teams. Ensure data visualizations are accurate, user-friendly, and tailored for various audiences—ranging from frontline legal teams to C-level executives.
• Legal Data Lake Administration: Partner with IT resources to develop architecture for scalable and secure data lake to store customer contracts and other key legal data.
• Change Management: Co-develop and lead change initiatives - including training and communication - ensuring smooth transitions, maximizing adoption, and minimizing disruption
• Leadership: Guide and mentor legal operational analysts, promoting their technical and professional development through coaching, training, and constructive feedback.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in legal operations, risk operations, sales operations, or other similar business unit.
• Experience implementing and managing complex workflow technology.
• Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence applications.
• Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.
• Ability to translate requirements and objectives between audiences who may not share obvious aligned interests, in every layer of the organization to help sharpen alignment on priorities and next steps on a wide variety of topics related to legal technology.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of legal operations, technology, and behavior to drive strategic programs that improve operational efficiency, promote regulatory compliance, and mitigate risk.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
• Preferred experience managing individual contributors.

The pay range for this position is $126,300.00 to $181,550.00 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
