About the role :

At UKG, we are building an AI-first suite that inspires every organization to become a great place to work through HR, pay, workforce management, and culture technology built for all. We are looking for a UX Research Manager to lead a team of mixed methods Researchers working to inform UKG’s AI product strategy and product metrics programs. You will partner with other teams across the company to drive data- and customer- informed decision making, identifying critical opportunities for improving the customer and user experience on our key products and delivering business success. You’ll report to the Director of UX Research and play a leadership role in the UX organization.

What You’ll Do:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a strong user research practice within a growing organization, impacting the user experience across our entire product portfolio,


• Develop and execute a comprehensive user research strategy aligned with business goals. Identify and prioritize research opportunities based on product priorities, business needs and knowledge gaps.
• Grow and mentor a team of UX researchers. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages innovation and growth.
• Provide guidance and support to team members in planning, executing, and analyzing research studies. Mature the team’s practice, quality and consistency.
• Identify trending themes across internal and external sources and translate into recommendations that highlight strategic and actionable opportunities. Serve as a thought leader to cross-functional partners to inform product strategy and design decisions.
• Champion user-centered design principles and promote a culture of customer- and data-informed decision-making within the organization.
• Lead research team operations, including resource planning, research vendor management, research repository, process standardization and tool selection.
• Expect to travel up to 20% of the year.

About you,

Qualifications:

• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools or exploring AIs potential impact on the function or industry.
• 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience successfully applying user research methods to the design of great products.
• 3+ years of experience managing UX researchers and a passion for fostering talent and growing careers.
• Deep experience with diverse research methods and design thinking. Knowledge of user interface design and usability evaluation techniques. Experience interpreting product usage and other telemetry metrics.
• Experience working with Enterprise IT software and various mobile, desktop, and emerging UI platforms.

The pay range for this position is $142,100.00 to $204,200.00 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
