Underdog Fantasy

USRemote

Hi, we’re Underdog!

We’re the fastest-growing sports gaming company ever.

We build innovative games and products for American sports fans.

Founded in 2020, our team built four of today’s most widely played fantasy games and recently launched our Underdog Sportsbook. We are the only sportsbook to ever launch on our own home grown technology, which allows us to build different and innovative experiences. We believe there’s so much more to be built for sports fans, and we’ll continue to win by building the best products and experiences for our customers.

The opportunity in front of us to become the biggest company in our space is massive; after all, we’re currently sitting in the fastest-growing consumer industry in the U.S. In just over two years, we reached a nearly $500 million valuation through some of the best investors in the game, including Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant, BlackRock, and SV Angel. We are many times larger now and our growth is not slowing down.

At Underdog, we believe that sports are for everyone and are building a tomorrow for every fan. Want to help create that future? Join us.

About the role and why it’s unique:

We’re looking for an interaction and motion designer to push the boundaries of how users engage with our brand in our mobile app. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of interaction design, motion, and brand storytelling—bringing our experiences to life through seamless, engaging, and polished animations.

  • Define the interaction and motion design language across Underdog’s products.
  • Create engaging animations, micro-interactions, and transitions that enhance usability and bring the brand to life.
  • Build reusable motion-based and interactive components (interactive carousels, swipe gestures, animated transitions) to enhance our design system.
  • Lead the design and execution of motion-driven product features across Pickem, Bet Slip, Promo Games (Originals), Live Tracking, Onboarding, Interactive Tutorials, and Navigation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and creative teams to bring ideas to life.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in interaction, product, or visual design, with a strong focus on crafting motion-driven experiences in iOS and Android native applications.
  • A creative problem-solver with a proven ability to design and execute sophisticated, interaction-driven experiences.
  • Skilled at conceptualizing and delivering end-to-end solutions that seamlessly integrate interaction and motion design with brand identity.
  • An excellent communicator with a portfolio demonstrating high-impact interaction and motion design, including process, insights, and world-class execution.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, working fluidly between design, engineering, and marketing.
  • Expert in modern design tools for product, motion and interaction (ex. Figma, Rive, Lottie, Protopie, Principle, After Effects)
  • Knowledgable of technical constraints and limitations.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in fantasy sports and/or sports betting
