The opportunity
Unity is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ESG Reporting Specialist to support our comprehensive annual Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in ESG reporting, be well-versed in global ESG and corporate sustainability regulations, and possess strong analytical skills to monitor ESG performance and respond to external stakeholder inquiries. What youll be doing
- Annual ESG Reporting:
- Support the preparation and compilation of Unity’s annual ESG report.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify necessary data for reporting.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with evolving ESG regulatory requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), California SB-219, AB-1305, SEC Climate-Related Disclosure Rules, and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) regulations.
- Facilitate CSRD-aligned double materiality assessments to ensure compliance and highlight significant ESG impacts.
- Monitoring ESG Progress:
- Use ESG management software to track and monitor ESG targets and metrics managed by cross-functional teams.
- Provide regular updates on the progress of ESG initiatives and performance metrics.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Respond to ESG-related questionnaires from investors, existing and potential customers, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders.
- Analyze incoming requests and develop business cases to support Unity’s ESG initiatives.
- ESG Ratings Analysis:
- Analyze ESG rating results to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and update recommendations based on rating feedback to enhance Unity’s ESG strategy.
- Internal Initiatives Support:
- Support internal programs and initiatives aimed at achieving ESG targets.
- Organize and participate in ad-hoc employee engagement activities to promote sustainability across the organization.
What were looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in ESG reporting and familiarity with global ESG and corporate sustainability regulations (CSRD, ISSB, SEC, California laws).
- Proficiency with ESG management software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to build business cases based on data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and systematic approach to monitoring and reporting ESG performance.
You might also have
- Knowledge in ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB).
- Experience working in a similar role within a corporate setting.
- Proficient in managing and analyzing complex data
- Proficiency in excel including macros and pivot tables
- Passion for staying current with the fast-evolving ESG landscape
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive collaboration
- Familiarity with sustainability management and best practices.
