The Manager, Sponsored Programs Administration (Cash/LOC) is responsible for co-overseeing the Cash Payment pillar of the Research Accounting Services division of the University of Louisville Office of Sponsored Programs Administration. This position will oversee training and managing staff, analyze and review cash, LOC and AR data and reports, assess and support appropriate internal controls. The candidate will be focusing on streamlining the Service account information to the accountants and double checking the information is entered correctly in the system for correct revenue recognition and application.
The position allows for a remote or hybrid work schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reconcile the Cash Holding Accounts and Bank and Lock Box account
Prepare reconciliation and analysis of the Payment application, as well as suggest ways to improve the process of Payment application
Partner with the Director in the process of communicating with vendors and Sponsors for the new bank account.
Coordinate with various departments, units as well as Treasury in case of checks.
Review the set-up of the new awards in Peoplesoft, ensuring that all fields are populated correctly.
Clean up the old award with missing field and ensuing that all billings are correct.
Oversee the completion of all Letter of Credit draws and act as backup for performing individual draws as necessary. This process is working together and reconciling with the Associate Director of Operations.
Review, analyze, follow up on AR over 120 days and make recommendations on how to deal with it.
Make recommendations for Write off of the bad debt.
Develop, maintain, and update unit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide backup to SPFA service account and other operational areas as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job duties might be subject to change as Workday Finance gets implemented.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or Finance.
Experience in grant and contract accounting management and reporting and compliance associated with federal and/or state government awards and contracts.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$98,100.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$65,400.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
