The Eating Anxiety Treatment (EAT) Laboratory is seeking full-time or part-time Research Scientist who will provide scientific direction and oversight of the EAT Lab research team, including as a liaison between the clinical and data science teams in effort to translate evidence-based psychological interventions into accessible digital tools. The start date is negotiable (ideally between spring 2025 and fall 2025), and the position would be hybrid, with some time working in-person at our lab in Louisville. Possibility for remote work can be considered.
Duties include:
Leading and co-leading research studies and collection of intensive longitudinal data
Leading technology development projects
Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and staff
Manage research analysts and computer scientists
Attend lab meetings and collaborate on research projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting research pertaining to mental health services, digital health, and/or community mental health
Ability to design a study by creating testable research questions, hypotheses, and methods needed to test the hypotheses
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical principles including familiarity with using a statistical package to conduct analyses
Experience with project and personnel management
Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with digital mental health tools
Competencies
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team setting
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to key stakeholders
Ability to learn quickly and work independently to solve a problem
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment
Experience working successfully with research teams
Target Compensation Maximum:
$87,300.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$58,200.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
