What we’re looking for

Vacasa is looking for a Software engineering that powers the full stack of mobile, web, and backend applications that enable Vacasa to run at its massive scale. As a software engineer at Vacasa you may find yourself working on how to:

Delight our guests, owners and employees through modern React based SPAs and native iOS/Android apps backed by powerful UX research
Dispatch our housekeepers efficiently to clean thousands of homes per day to ensure guests arrive to clean homes
Process tens of thousands reservation changes daily across Vacasa.com and all of the leading Online Travel Agencies through a distributed event driven cloud architecture
Recognize revenue using cutting-edge processes that are leading the industry in terms of automation

As a Software engineer, you’ll find yourself partnering with Data, Quality, Security, and Site Reliability Engineering disciplines to build robust, well rounded products. You’ll also have a seat at the table in defining what you build as a team with your embedded Product and Design leaders all working together in an agile software development lifecycle.

What youll do

Actively contribute to the team’s software stack, tools, and agile processes
Design and build small/medium enhancements that are backed by test automation
Regularly deploy and monitor contributions into production systems
Support your team in collaborative code reviews and discussions

Skills youll need

Minimum one year of professional experience
Experience writing automated unit tests
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Python/TypeScript preferred)
Experience developing with at least one data storage technology (relational databases preferred)
Knowledge of modern web-development technologies (HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, Webpack)
Proficient understanding of a JavaScript framework (React w/ TypeScript preferred)
Experience consuming RESTful API endpoints
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or related field is a nice to have, but not required!

Compensation

$3000000 CLP/ monthly. Actual pay will vary based on a candidates skill, experience, education and/or location.
