Senior Software Engineer, Generative AI Platform

We’re hiring a senior or staff software engineer to work on our LLM platform that powers Generative AI within our products. As a senior member of the team, you’re expected to drive key technical decisions and establish new best practices for software engineering in a domain that is still greenfield. Your decisions will drive the growth of our platform and the success of the users that depend on it for mission-critical workflows.

What You’ll Do

Drive the design and direction of our LLM service and build usable interfaces and APIs for other engineers and end users
Work on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of the platform
Research new generative AI techniques to implement in our production applications
Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Mission, and Software Engineers to integrate machine learning services with our user-facing products
Become an expert and point of contact for all things prompt-engineering
Build out new products using the latest LLM and machine learning techniques

Qualifications

5+ years of backend engineering work with realtime and async applications
3+ years of working with ML models in production applications
Experience building scalable APIs
Prior experience with LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work around the stack
You must be a US resident or citizen.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
