Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway is looking for a Podcast Video Editor to expand its multiplatform publishing. Were looking for someone with longstanding experience editing and producing audio/video shows, and a deep understanding of SEO/audience strategy on video platforms. The Podcast Video Editor will work collaboratively with the broader show team on show planning and prep. They will lead the video editing workflow across full length episodes, and help provide supervision for shortform video production.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in the tech/business podcast landscape, meticulous and fast as a technical editor, and flexible in their methods of working with marquee talent. The role requires an innovative approach to multiplatform experimentation and a solutions-oriented mindset to deadline-driven production. Experience with audio engineering is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Comprehensive podcast production services for Pivot video episodes —including recording, assembly, editing, and publishing
- Develop and evolve visual language for video for current productions and potential new projects
- Collaborate with team producers on editorial decisions throughout edit phase
- Direct freelance producers working on social videos
- Collaborate with producers on guest and topic ideas
- Maintain a high attention to detail and rigor throughout all production stages and on all delivery assets
WHO YOU ARE
- Ability to turn around full-length video episodes on a twice-weekly schedule, inclusive of sourcing and implementing stills, and B-roll and adding graphics as needed
- An understanding of SEO/audience strategy on video platforms (with a focus on YouTube) and in particular, within the video podcast landscape
- Knowledge of social media and engagement tactics for various platforms’ audiences
- Experience with managing freelance contributors within a news environment
- Knowledge of workflow management
- Ability to work under on tight deadlines
- Experience with audio engineering/sweetening a plus
