Position Summary...
The Group Director, Software Engineering - Digital is a strategic senior technology leader who is responsible for shaping and leading the technology strategy, design & development for walmart.com - Discovery Experience. Discovery Experience includes Home Page, Deals, Search & Browse, Item Page, Subscriptions & CMS.In this role, you will lead a team of onshore and offshore engineering team, providing strong technical direction and operational excellence to ensure modern, scalable technology solutions. You will be responsible for attracting, developing, and growing top engineering talent while fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
As a highly visible leader, you will work closely with executives and cross-functional stakeholders, including the SVP of Product, SVP of Technology, Digital Strategy teams, Product teams, UX teams, and external vendors. Your ability to build trust, drive collaboration, and execute at a large enterprise level will be critical to success in this role.

About Team:
Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmarts Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.
What youll do:
Lead the digital technology strategy while collaborating closely with senior leadership on prioritization and future roadmap
Drive technical direction and delivery execution, ensuring engineering excellence across teams in coding practices, continuous integration, automated testing, etc.
Optimize the use of cloud services and other resources to maximize ROI.
Create and maintain an environment that drives innovation and challenges the team to explore and experiment with new ideas and technologies to grow the business
Develop team members who are business-savvy tech leaders and engineers
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships.
What youll bring:
Technology Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the digital commerce platforms (website and mobile apps) using modern, cloud native technologies.
Strategic Partnership: Partner with the Digital Product and UX teams to deliver digital experiences that drive customer engagement & Sales.
Agile Product Delivery: Champion an agile product operating model, working with product management and scrum teams to continuously deliver customer-centric features and enhancements.
Platform Management: Ensure the e-commerce platforms operate with high availability, scalability, and security, leveraging cloud-native solutions and infrastructure.
Innovation & Optimization: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the customer experience, increase site performance, and optimize for mobile-experiences.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across business, marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and delivery expectations. Can communicate complex messages and highly technical information to all levels.
Technical Governance: Uphold best practices for software development, quality assurance, and operational excellence to ensure technology investments are maximized and deliver business value.
Team Leadership: Attract and retain talent; drive performance through people engagement; cultivating an environment which supports growth, continual feedback, and inclusion.

Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $254,000.00-$481,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00-$370,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
