Are you a creative, strategic, and skilled leader? If so, we are seeking a Director of Brand + Web Design to manage and lead a team of designers responsible for elevating our brand and maintaining high standards of design excellence, scalability and usability across our web platform. This role extends from the creation, implementation and maintenance of our Webflow websites through to the campaigns, events and promotional assets that bring our brand to the world. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills. Proficiency in design tools, specifically Webflow and Figma, and a deep understanding of UX/UI principles and web and print best practices are essential. Strategic thinking, the ability to set and maintain design standards, and make data-informed decisions will be key to your success. This is a highly strategic role that will require cross-functional partnership with marketing partners (PMM, Brand, Content, Social, Community, Growth), product design, engineering, and occasionally the executive leadership team.

  • The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. Weve structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
    • United States  (all figures cited below are in USD and pertain to workers in the United States) 
      • Zone A: $217,000 - $312,000
      • Zone B: $204,000 - $293,000
      • Zone C: $191,000 - $274,500
    • Canada (all figures cited below are in CAD  and pertain to workers in Canada)
      • 247,000 - 355,000

  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Creative

As a Director, Brand & Web Design, you’ll:

Responsibilities:

  • Champion and challenge your team to ensure creative excellence, collaboration and proactive communication in the pursuit of building a global brand
  • Set and communicate the design vision for projects, aligning with broader business goals by partnering on creative brief development and engaging with weekly capacity planning 
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams, articulating design decisions, timelines, strategy and ensuring designs align with business goals
  • Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring consistency and creative excellence across all projects 
  • Lead and execute award-winning creative across campaigns and events
  • Oversee the creative and technical direction of web projects, ensuring the design team leverages the full potential of Webflow while maintaining high standards of design, UI/UX, scalability and usability 
  • Lead the integration of design strategy with performance considerations, ensuring Webflow sites are optimized for SEO and fast load times 
  • Develop CMS strategies that streamline workflows and enhance site functionality including template creation for content that needs frequent updates or is managed by non-design stakeholders
  • Establish efficient design workflows, ensuring that Webflow’s collaborative features are maximized for rapid iteration and feedback

About you:

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 12+ years in the creative field with 4+ years of direct management experience
  • Experience scaling creative teams and developing workflow processes for efficient production of creative deliverables
  • Experience managing the end-to-end user experience through web and brand projects from conception to launch
  • Proven experience developing and scaling global brands
  • Experience working with Webflow, including the ability to manage a CMS and create dynamic, scalable web solutions 
  • Strong UI/UX design sills with a strong understanding of web accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with with front end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design and build decisions 
  • Knowledge of Webflow’s capabilities and features
