The team you will be a part of

The Information Systems team is responsible for implementation of the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organizations computing/IT environment. Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.

This role in summary

The Global SAP Basis Senior Manager is responsible for leading Operations, Project Design and Delivery globally reporting to the Global SAP, Core Systems and Integration organization and it’s expected that you contribute to driving innovation across the existing SAP solutions, improve the overall uptime, performance, currency, and resiliency and help build a positive work environment with strong teamwork mentality.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Facilitates cross-functional standardization of SAP solutions on a global scale, understanding the specifics for each region and shaping it sustainably;

  • Participate and support the adoption of global organization programs across different areas proposing roadmaps and influencing the deployment;

  • Responsible for developing technology roadmap, managing global service providers, and identifying opportunities for improvement, modernization, and development of cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor Degree;

  • 8+ years of experience as a SAP Basis Consultant/Architect creating cost-effective and highly available architectural solutions in the cloud and on-premise;

  • 8+ years of experience in the design, coordination and implementation of SAP Installations, Updates, Upgrades and OS/DB Migrations;

  • 8+ years of experience in managing SAP HANA, SAP ASE, SAP MaxDB, Microsoft SQL Server and GCP/AWS Cloud Managed databases;

  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery solutions;

  • 5+ years of experience in managing/architecting SAP solutions in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Preferred skills and experiences

  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP Transport Management System (SAP TMS) and SAP Change Request Management (SAP ChaRM);

  • Practical experience in designing and implementing SAP automations in cloud based environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS);

  • Practical experience in managing SAP High Availability solutions in cloud and on-premise based environments, preferably SLES for SAP and HANA and Microsoft Windows Server clusters;

  • Practical experience in managing complex SAP Performance Tuning optimization/issues affecting one or multiple architectural components;

  • Practical experience in SAP FinOps initiatives to reduce the SAP cloud spend and optimization of cloud resources;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across internal and external organizations;

  • Innovation-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to modernize and keep SAP solutions current with best-in-class technology;

  • Stay current with the latest technology and dynamically learn about new SAP solutions and modernization opportunities;

  • Manage critical Change and Incident management situations;

  • Seamlessly transition between Operation and Project work models;

  • Communicating across technical and non-technical audiences;

  • Knowledge of SAP DevOps practices and tooling to optimize and safeguard the code deployment easing the review demands.
