About the Team

The Marketing Technology team operates as the implementer and stewards of the technology that equips our Marketing team. Our work impacts workmates and the public alike, and ranges from traditional engineering challenges to broad, multi-organizational problem solving efforts. About the Role

As the Technical Lead for Workday Marketplace, you will be a pivotal leader in driving the technical strategy and execution for this critical platform. You will guide a talented cross-functional development team, owning the architectural vision, implementation, and delivery of a modern, state-of-the-art marketplace. Your deep understanding of marketplace ecosystems, coupled with exceptional leadership and collaborative abilities, will be essential to the success of this significant initiative. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our digital marketplace and make a tangible impact on our users.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned technical leader with a passion for building innovative and impactful platforms.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex, enterprise-level projects.

  • 5+ years of specific experience in marketplace architecture, development methodologies, and integration patterns.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing e-commerce checkout flows and shopping cart functionalities, understanding the nuances of online transactions.

  • Solid proficiency in modern back-end development languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js) and relevant front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

  • Deep understanding of API design principles (RESTful, GraphQL), microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.

  • Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to effectively lead and mentor engineering teams.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with the AppDirect marketplace platform.

  • Hands-on experience integrating search technologies, ideally Coveo, to build intelligent search capabilities.

  • Experience incorporating Generative AI and conversational AI platforms (e.g., Drift) into user experiences.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Target for content management, analytics, and personalization.

  • Experience integrating with Conga Apttus CPQ for quote-to-cash processes.


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
