The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director, Account Based Marketing (ABM) to lead and elevate our ABM initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in B2B marketing and ABM strategies, capable of driving significant business impact through highly targeted and personalized marketing efforts. The Director, ABM plays a pivotal role in crafting a global account-first strategy, and aligning marketing with sales to drive revenue from key accounts.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and execute a sophisticated ABM strategy aimed at targeting high-value accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Lead the identification and segmentation of target accounts in collaboration with sales and operations leadership.
- Design bespoke marketing programs for different account segments, focusing on the challenges and opportunities unique to each segment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel ABM campaigns.
- Guide the development of high-impact content and messaging that resonates with key decision-makers at target accounts.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Design teams and our digital agency to develop and deliver personalized experiences across digital and offline channels.
- Serve as the primary liaison between marketing and sales teams on ABM initiatives, ensuring collaboration and alignment on goals, strategies, and execution.
- Provide strategic insights and guidance to sales teams, helping them engage more effectively with target accounts.
- Lead the analysis of ABM campaign performance, using data to uncover insights, measure ROI, and drive campaign and tactics optimization.
- Prepare and present detailed performance reports highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative cross-functional team environment.
- Manage the ABM budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve and grow positive ROI.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership role focused on ABM.
- Proven success in developing and executing ABM strategies that drive significant revenue growth and account penetration.
- Experience collaborating with sales teams and aligning marketing efforts with sales goals.
- Expertise in intent tools (6Sense, Foundry, etc.), marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, etc.) and CRM systems (Salesforce).
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, and the ability to extract and explain actionable insights.
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities, a strategic mindset, and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig in.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
