The Director of Vertical Strategy(Supply Chain/Warehouse) leverages their deep experience and expertise in the industry to guide Zebra’s strategy and execution in the market. This job combines a strategic mindset with an inclination towards influencing stakeholders and driving results. The Vertical Strategy Market Development Leader is a crucial part of ensuring that Zebra remains relevant to our customers and partners on a global basis over the long term.
*Position location will be Lincolnshire, IL(primary), Holtsville, NY(secondary), and possibly Remote only for right candidate*
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate strategy development, ongoing strategy evolution, and operational alignment with other senior leaders
- Identify and drive key initiatives in support of core business growth, new solution development, go-to-market strategies, and adjacent market development with senior leaders in product management, marketing, channels, sales, etc
- Lead the execution of a multi-year operational plan to grow revenue in the market by leveraging several functions including product and solution development, strategic partner relationships, geographic expansion, marketing, sales, and channels.
- Drive Zebra’s internal community (product, sales, marketing, etc.) and external ecosystem (customers, resellers, software partners, etc.) toward achieving strategic goals
- Act as Zebra’s industry thought leader, evangelist, and company spokesperson
- Analyze data, assess market trends, engage with subject matter experts, prepare reports to develop strategy of record documents for the warehouse industry.
- Translate business needs into actionable sproduct, sales and marketing strategic initiatives; Identify areas of unaddressed market opportunity and propose innovative product solutions with the product teams
to capture the opportunity - Analyze and report on trends in market, competition, and application as well as new workflow opportunities for the assigned market areas
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ yrs relevant experience in strategy, business development or market development(and ideally Warehouse Operations and Technology industry)
- Ability to leverage and analyze business and market intelligence data to develop strategies/Create business cases
- Ability to act as the corporate spokesperson / evangelist for Zebra in the segment/Partner with BU leadership & Sales Leaders
- Extensive experience developing executive-level business cases for investments in new
solutions, segments, or use cases - Collaborative, dynamic leader able to drive change in an established company; Ability to
manage through influence in a matrixed environment - Exceptional communication skills – both written & verbal – with demonstrated ability to
influence executives - Customer Facing Experience
- Creative problem-solver with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to leadership
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to build cross-functional consensus; Lead by example in driving partnership initiatives
- Travel (25%+) required on a business-needs basis

Salary: USD 170400.00 - USD 255600.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
