We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Machine Vision business unit. You will work under guidance from engineers, create bread boards and prototypes of design assemblies. You will test prototypes using standard lab equipment/processes while maintaining records of preliminary schematics and documents test results.
Location**
Position will be onsite 5 days of week in Germantown, Maryland or Holtsville, NY
Responsibilities:
- Follows established processes to create and test preliminary product assemblies
- Works from written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on product assemblies and hardware
- Determines methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Performs audits and tests of products in development in accordance with test plans and procedures.
- Debugs and characterizes defects, provides detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports.
- Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products
- Records results of tests and maintains lab documentation as required
- Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders
- Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures.
- Analyzes test results and makes recommendations
- Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs and ensures testing is completed for each design revision
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Technician experience
- Experience configuring scan solutions in a lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Experience working with fixed industrial scanning and/or machine vision solutions and commensurate knowledge of technology, products, and marketplace
- Being able to work independently
- Proof of concept experience
- Solution configuration - set up and test solutions
Position Specific Information:
- Position will be onsite 5 days of week in Germantown, Maryland or Holtsville, NY
- Up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: USD 42200.00 - USD 63400.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
