The Senior Manager of Indirect Sourcing and Procurement will be part of the leadership team providing thought leadership and high-level expertise in developing, driving and managing Procurements goals and objectives. Responsible for establishing the direction for the software category and associated supplier management, standards, process/process design and use of and engagement of technology suppliers needed to support Zebra’s strategies and objectives.
This position requires hybrid work in the Lincolnshire, IL location.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholder team members to execute strategic initiatives set by senior leadership-- effectively balancing the RFx process and the TCO evaluation of suppliers against the business stakeholder’s requirements and supplier preferences. Recognized as a company expert within his/her field
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual category management plans that incorporates the stakeholder’s strategy, goals, challenges, constraints and objectives included but not limited to spend breakdown, strategic sourcing pipeline, process improvements, supplier rationalizations, targeted supplier business reviews, scorecards, segmentation, sourcing levers, etc.
- Ability to maintain accountability, delivering against timelines, building relationships and becoming a trusted advisor with business stakeholders, executive management and suppliers
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost improvement programs and resolve significant and unique strategic supplier performance issues to ensure business satisfaction
- Oversee activities related to the sourcing and procurement specialist team
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures of sourcing and procurement
- Manage the supply chain portfolio specific to the software discipline ensuring transparency of spending
- Develop and implement efficient sourcing and procurement management strategies
- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
- Optimize sourcing and procurement to attain maximum efficiency
- Sets operational goals for key metrics. Ensure metrics driven to root causes and process changes implemented where needed
- Responsible for the training, development, and management of talent within organization
- Manages the development, formalization and direction for a strategic supplier framework and design for high impact / high dependency suppliers and their use considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness/ value (service delivery performance, cost, continuous improvement), practicality, risk (technical limitations, financial, contractual) and criticality
- Establishes and maintains improvements for the design and development strategy for Supplier Lifecycle Management (performance, relationship, contracts, risk)
- Manages a high complexity process and derives logical outcomes based on supplier ecosystem and strategic direction
- Manages complex cost and spend analysis to identify cost effective solutions for existing and future contracts
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required with a preference for Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related
- 12+ years of Sourcing/Procurement/Supplier Management experience including minimum 5 years of management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven work experience in the field of Indirect Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
Excellent communication skills (listening, providing clear and concise information, using proper language and grammar)
Project Management
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and manage stakeholder issues
Subject matter expert in Sourcing & Procurement Software discipline
Ability to lead teams collaboratively
Overseeing highly complex issues and applying advance root cause analysis
Oversees management and strategy of documented processes
Advanced analytical skills
Highly experience in effectively providing direction to manage in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
Ability to identify and manage process improvements

Demonstrated leadership skills coupled with desire an ability for continuous learning & self-development
Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel), presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint), Microsoft Word, Oracle iProcurement, Workday Scout, and SpendHQ (or similar programs)
Travel Requirement: Approximately 10%

Salary: USD 133000.00 - USD 199400.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
