Job Description

Zendesk is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help position Zendesk as a leader in AI-powered customer and employee experiences. In this role, you’ll shape and amplify our thought leadership in AI by crafting compelling content that sets us apart in the market. Your work will expand our share of voice, spark meaningful conversations, and drive engagement with our target audiences.
 

This is a writing-intensive role, requiring exceptional storytelling skills and a strong ability to distill complex AI topics and data-rich surveys into engaging, accessible content. You’ll collaborate with brand marketing, product marketing, creative teams, and social media strategists to develop high-quality, differentiated content.

Responsibilities

  • Create original  thought leadership content. Write and produce blogs, reports, guides, videos, podcasts, and best practices that establish Zendesk’s unique perspective on AI in CX and employee service.

  • Brainstorm new ideas and help plan an editorial calendar with the rest of the team. This includes working internal subject matter experts to identify key trends, craft compelling narratives, and align messaging with broader marketing campaigns.

  • Collaborate across teams. Partner with product marketing, integrated marketing social, brand, creative, localization, customer marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-impact content.

  • Stay on top of the latest technology and industry trends.  Monitor AI advancements, competitor strategies, and emerging CX trends to inform content strategy. Continuously explore new formats, storytelling techniques, and distribution channels to keep content fresh and engaging.

  • Edit, proofread, and improve content written by other team members.

  • Measure and optimize – Analyze content performance and use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve engagement, and maximize impact.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of  content marketing experience, preferably in a high-growth tech environment. 

  • Sharp writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn ideas into compelling stories and clean, clear, vibrant copy

  • You have a stellar portfolio with examples of work 

  • Able to bridge the gap between data and storytelling, to help turn quantitative insights into compelling content

  • Ability to distill complex thoughts and make them understandable and relatable including representing key ideas visually

  • Experience in thought leadership and content marketing. You understand how to build authority and credibility in a competitive market.

  • Strategic mindset. You can craft content strategies that align with business objectives and audience needs.

  • Collaboration and adaptability. You thrive in cross-functional teams and can manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong interest and curiosity about technology.  You stay on top of technology trends, especially AI,  

  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills who can drive projects from start to finish and who can prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • You are proactive, clear, and thoughtful in your communication with team members and stakeholders
     

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$162,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
