As an experienced Commercial Sales leader, you will develop and execute a multi-faceted Commercial sales strategy to increase our market share whilst building the highest levels of customer and team satisfaction. You will manage a team of highly driven, successful sales professionals, who are equally focussed on acquiring new logos and growing the revenue from their installed base.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong Commercial sales leadership, vision, and direction for the sales team and broader Zendesk sales organization

  • Continue to hire, grow, lead and motivate a high-performing Commercial sales team

  • Be accountable for the attainment of sales representative’s assigned new customer acquisition and financial performance targets

  • Track and analyze sales activities to understand and capitalize on buying trends and patterns in the target region

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of Zendesk solutions while staying current in understanding the competitive landscape and industry trends

  • Be able to build relationships both internally and externally at the C-suite

  • Establish policies, processes and procedures that will ensure revenue growth

  • Roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary for the customer and the team

Requirements

  • Proven experience of managing high-performance teams with a minimum of 7 years sales experience, 4 of these would be in a Sales Management capacity

  • Knowledge or a good understanding of the Commercial market within SaaS

  • Innovative and results oriented manager with strong SaaS/tech sales experience

  • Proven track record of success, driving revenue growth against quota and increased profitability

  • Strong experience and understanding in a variety of sales methodologies and best practices

  • Ability to be enthusiastic and creative in driving pipeline development

  • Ability to provide accurate forecasting of pipeline development and management

  • Entrepreneurial and focused with a passion to succeed

  • Analytical and results orientated throughout all stages of the sales cycle

The US annualized OTE (On Target Earnings) range for this position is $207,000.00-$311,000.00 with a pay mix of 50/50 (base/commission). This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
