THE ROLE

The Privacy Compliance Director will help lead Zeta’s privacy compliance efforts.  This role reports as a top deputy to Zeta’s Chief Privacy Officer and is focused on the mechanics of compliance.

This role requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail, as well as deep regulatory and legal expertise with privacy, an ability to manage a broad portfolio of activities, and strong communications  and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will manage 2 direct reports and a significant degree of responsibility and mission criticality.  It is also a new role, meaning that you have an opportunity to design your own processes and make your mark on Zeta Global. 

In this role you will:

  • Maintain privacy policies, consents, and user rights mechanisms
  • Supervise 2 remote attorneys in India who cover supplier management and compliance auditing
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments
  • Create records of processing
  • Maintain and manage relationships with third party organizations
  • Complete annual registrations
  • Organize and maintain existing policies, procedures, records of processing, and related materials
  • Work with commercial attorneys on client-facing matters
  • Contribute to employee trainings
  • Prepare reports for auditors and management
  • Work to further develop the compliance culture at Zeta  

Bonus points:

  • Deep knowledge of US financial services privacy rules—GLBA, FCRA, CFPB, etc.;
  • Previous experience working as in-house counsel, particularly at a tech startup;
  • Understands the EU legal system, GDPR and the e-Privacy Directive;
  • Work history or internship with privacy groups like FPF, CDT, EFF, NAI, DAA, etc.;

COMPENSATION RANGE

The compensation range for this role is $175,000.00 - $200,000.00, depending on location and experience.
