As the Executive Operations Manager of the Autonomy Software team you will be a key advisor and strategic partner to the VP, influencing departmental strategies, implementing strategic initiatives and leading organizational efficiencies. You will be a trusted advisor, and at times represent the VP in leadership meetings or within designated functional areas.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to the VP, providing insights that influence departmental strategies, co-leading their implementation, and leading various business initiatives.
- Act as an extension of the VP when designated and serve as a mentor to junior members of the leadership team and potentially manage direct reports.
- Review work streams and processes to identify operational needs and inefficiencies, and develop and implement necessary improvements.
- Lead cross-functional programs to achieve strategic goals, enhance operational efficiencies, establish processes, and develop key supporting assets.
- Identify areas for operational improvement, lead efforts to streamline processes, manage key projects, and facilitate communication and collaboration across the organization.
- Understand or strive to learn the technical concepts, architecture, and systems development methods associated with the Zoox Autonomy team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical discipline and at least 7 years of relevant experience in AV, Robotics, EV, or related industry preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading technical teams.
- Experience engaging and collaborating with C- Suite executives.
- Highly organized and excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and workflows on deadline.
- Strong track-record managing complex cross-functional projects with strong knowledge in system safety and/or systems engineering processes.
- Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
Bonus Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in technical discipline.
- Working experience in the autonomous driving technology industry.
- Experience bringing a new product to market.
Compensation:
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $219,000 to $337,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidates relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
