Zoox has embarked on a highly ambitious journey to develop an autonomous mobility solution built from the ground up. As our Operations team develops and scales, so does the challenge of understanding operations data, ensuring effective communication between development and operations, and informing critical decisions to scale the organization successfully. Fleet Operationss Process, Strategy, and Data team focuses on “how we get from here to there.” As Zoox continues to grow, you will be a crucial member of the team and responsible for providing guidance on how to do that most efficiently while providing a great customer experience.
You will be key in creating, communicating, and providing updates on the operations roadmap outlining the plan for the next one to three years. This can include supporting market selection and operations, setting budgets and forecasts, creating new organizational designs, and more.
In this role, you will:
- Support decision-making related to how we move from an R&D operation to a commercial operation and scale efficiently at a macro level.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Perform analysis on a range of options to determine the best way forward.
- Set goals, budgets, and forecasts for team performance, such as remote operations and ground operations.
- Monitor performance against those goals and make adjustments as needed.
- Works cross-functionally to ensure buy-in and gather feedback.
- Stay up-to-date on recent trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Finance
- 10+ years of experience in operational strategy or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Experience in a product-based operations environment
- Strong leadership abilities
- Demonstrated experience using data to drive decisions
Bonus Qualifications
- Project management certification
- MBA or a Masters degree in a STEM program
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, ride-hail, robotics, or fleet management
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $164,000 to $206,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidates relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
