We are hiring a Senior Payroll Operations Analyst, Global to support automation initiatives and optimize payroll workflows to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance. Reporting to the Manager, Global Payroll Operations. This is a Hybrid role in San Jose, CA but may consider remote in California. You will be responsible for:

  • Identify and Analyze Trends and Inefficiencies: Use statistical models to identify payroll-related trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements, and provide payroll-related reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure Compliance and Conduct Audits: Ensure payroll operations comply with domestic and international payroll laws and regulations, including periodic audits and compliance with retirement savings plans.
  • Enhance Payroll Processes: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance payroll processes through technology and best practices, collaborating with HRIS, IT, and external vendors for system integrations and enhancements.
  • Training and Change Management: Provide training and guidance on newly implemented applications and process changes, and support the implementation of payroll and HR systems or transitions to new vendors.
  • Partner with Auditors: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to resolve gaps across all aspects of payroll operations.

What Were Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field with 10 years of experience in global payroll operations or related fields, including in Public Tech Companies.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets, with required experience in Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets.
  • Strong knowledge of regional and international payroll practices, tax laws, compliance requirements, and experience implementing and maintaining SOX controls.
  • Expertise in payroll automation, system integrations, and process optimization, with experience in multi-country payroll operations.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in payroll system implementation from inception to deployment and experience with Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Experience with RPA tools.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$91,000$130,000 USD
